Day School

Day students have the same academic program as boarding students, arriving at school for lessons at eight o’clock and leaving the campus shortly before dinnertime. Day and boarding students have equal access to all of the Landheim’s activities, events and scholarships.

 

A Student's Day
8.00 Five consecutive academic periods (also on Saturdays) with a half hour snack break in the middle.
12.40 Lunch at set tables in fixed table groups, followed by a break for rest and relaxation.
13.45 Two further academic periods. Study periods for the completion of homework are built into the academic day; teachers are present to assist and support students in their academic work.
15.15 Tea break and free time
15.30 Workshops and athletic activities for grades 5-7; community activities or free time; upper school courses can take place in this time slot.
17.00 Workshops and athletic activities for grades 8-11 or free time; silent reading period for the lower school- an opportunity to find quiet time or to study.
