Internationality

Landheim Ammersee is a place where the world comes together: in the classroom, on campus and in encounters around the globe. Here, young people grow up in an environment where cosmopolitanism, curiosity and cultural exchange are experienced on a daily basis.

Partner schools worldwide

Long-standing partnerships with renowned schools on every continent offer pupils unique opportunities to learn about other education systems, cultures and ways of life. These partnerships form the basis for exchange programmes, joint projects and a vibrant international network.

Round Square – a global network for young leaders

Since 2008, Landheim Ammersee has been part of the international Round Square school community, which connects over 260 schools in 50 countries. The focus is on the six ‘IDEALS’: Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership and Service.

Round Square inspires our students to surpass themselves – whether through our exchange programme, international conferences, projects around the world or local involvement in retirement homes or integration projects in the community. Values such as courage, community spirit and responsibility can thus be experienced in a tangible way.

Exchange programmes with added value

As a member of the Round Square network, the Landheim offers customised exchange opportunities: students in Years 9 and 11 spend around six weeks at a partner school abroad and host guests in return. For particularly committed Year 11 students, two exchanges within one school year are even possible. The variety of countries and schools makes it easy to find the right exchange location and gain unforgettable experiences.

Through our Round Square commitment, our students have gained completely new perspectives: experiences that will last forever and global experiences that are formative.

Cultural diversity and languages as a key to the world

English, French and Spanish are not only taught at Landheim, they are lived in everyday life. Practical projects, international contacts and recognised language certificates are the ideal preparation for studying and working in an international environment, making language a bridge between people and cultures.
