Landheim Ammersee invites young people aged 14 to 17 from all over the world to experience two unforgettable summer weeks in the heart of Bavaria's most beautiful region. Our International Summer School not only offers intensive German lessons, but also cultural experiences, sporting activities and a real sense of community. As the Summer School takes place during the regular boarding school term, participants also have the opportunity to get a taste of boarding school life and make direct contact with our students.
Daily German lessons in practical formats.
In the mornings, students immerse themselves in the German language. The lessons combine classic language acquisition with creative expression – both written and oral. Vocabulary training, grammar and communication are the focus, supplemented by exciting projects that bring the language to life:
- Our own Summer School newspaper
- Interviews with locals
- Presentations on Munich's sights
- Newspaper reading and discussions
- Multimedia task formats
Leisure activities with a personal touch
In the afternoons, the young people organise their own programme. Whether rowing, sailing, tennis, climbing or creative courses in arts and crafts – there is something for everyone. The activities change weekly, leaving plenty of room to try out new things.
Excursions to Munich, Landsberg or Garmisch-Partenkirchen
On Wednesdays, participants explore the region. Together, they visit cultural highlights and experience nature – right on our doorstep.
Excursion with an outdoor or cultural focus
The middle weekend features a special highlight: a two-day excursion with a focus on mountain sports or culture. This way, immersion in the language also becomes an intensive experience of the country and its people.
