International Summer School for young people aged 14 to 17 years

Landheim Ammersee invites young people aged 14 to 17 from all over the world to enjoy two unforgettable summer weeks in the heart of Bavaria’s most beautiful region. Our International Summer School offers not only intensive German lessons, but also cultural experiences, sporting activities and a real sense of community. As the Summer School takes place during the boarding school’s regular term, participants also have the opportunity to get a taste of boarding school life and make direct contact with our pupils.
Daily German lessons in practical formats.
In the mornings, pupils immerse themselves in the German language. Lessons combine traditional language learning with creative expression – both written and spoken. The focus is on vocabulary, grammar and communication, complemented by exciting projects that bring the language to life:
- Our own Summer School newspaper
- Interviews with locals
- Presentations on Munich’s sights
- Reading newspapers and discussions
- Multimedia task formats
Leisure activities with a personal touch
In the afternoons, the young people organise their own programme. Whether it’s rowing, sailing, tennis, climbing or creative arts and crafts courses – there’s something for everyone. The activities change weekly, leaving plenty of scope to try out new things.
Trips to Munich, Landsberg or Garmisch-Partenkirchen
On Wednesdays, participants explore the region. Together, they visit cultural highlights and enjoy nature – right on our doorstep.
Excursions with an outdoor or cultural focus
A special highlight takes place in the middle of the weekend: a two-day excursion focusing on mountain sports or culture. This turns immersion in the language into an intensive experience of the country and its people.
