“Das Landheim”, founded in 1905, is not only one of Germany’s most historic boarding schools – it is also a very attractive place to work for its current staff of around 120, making it the largest employer in the municipality of Schondorf am Ammersee. We are a charitable foundation with a long history, bringing together three schools under one roof – from Year 1 to Year 13. We’re creating more scope for education, more time for personal development and, above all, new opportunities for dedicated teachers! Following the transition from an eight-year to a nine-year Gymnasium, we’re looking for teachers (m/f/d) for the following subjects:

  • French & Spanish (preferably with additional qualifications in German as a foreign language)

Your profile

You hold a teaching qualification for grammar schools (2nd state examination), are passionate about teaching and enjoy working with young people. You are characterised by team spirit, initiative and creativity, as well as a willingness to play an active role in shaping school life.

We are currently looking for a qualified chef (full-time or part-time (30/40 hours)) with experience in commercial kitchensto join our commercial kitchen as soon as possible or at a later date

What we expect from you:

  • A full-time or part-time (30/40 hours) specialist, possibly with experience in a commercial kitchen
  • Willingness to work early and late shifts (Mon–Fri, finishing at 7.30 pm)

  • Willingness to work split early and evening shifts on occasion (only at weekends until 7.00 pm)

  • as well as weekend shifts every 14 days

  • Commitment, a sense of responsibility, team spirit and organisational skills
  • Willingness to help out in all areas as required

What we expect from you:

  • A qualification as a seamstress or home economics assistant specialising in textiles, or equivalent training
  • Production of new boarding school linen (tablecloths, curtains, aprons, etc.)
  • Mending and repair work on all boarding school linen (including pupils’ linen)
  • Cleaning and maintenance of all textile furnishings (curtains, sofa covers, table linen, workwear, etc.)
  • Maintenance and upkeep of sewing machines
  • Management of sewing supplies and fabric stocks
  • Assisting with the training of domestic science trainees and apprentices
  • Willingness to work, a sense of responsibility, team spirit and organisational skills
  • Enjoyment of working with children and young people
  • Willingness to help out in all areas as required
