Oberstufe 11hoch3

The new upper school of 3 years. 3 new horizons.

The new upper school 11³

From Year 11 onwards, students become young personalities. We have developed the upper school 11³ for this special phase. It adds three new horizons to school education: performance, personality and community. In Year 11, the focus is on joint project work. Students take on responsibility in four future-relevant projects, which they manage and present independently. In Years 12 and 13, students choose additional academic tasks according to their individual strengths and interests and prepare for their Abitur together with personal tutors.

In the upper school 11³, the focus is on increasing independence. In combination with the individual projects, this is a great springboard into life.

Projektoberstufe

Project upper school Year 11

A year in which you can only win

Probably the most important school year of all: in Year 11, our students learn determination, networked thinking and project-oriented work. This takes on an international dimension, with the opportunity to immerse themselves in another culture and language for a few weeks or months. The goal is to ‘combine knowledge with life’ through scientific project work, accompanied by academic tutors. Students apply their knowledge, take on responsibility and gain experience and confidence in managing and presenting their projects. This, combined with a sense of community, is what shapes a young personality.

Working together on projects.
Learning for life.

  • Interdisciplinary and science-orientated project work in 4 projects
  • Pupils are supported by academic tutors
  • Exchange opportunities via the international school network Round Square
for one or two semesters following the initial project
  • Support for gifted students and unit day
Projektoberstufe 11

With the freely selectable areas of expertise from Year 12 onwards, our students take matters into their own hands. We support them with tutors and career-orientation measures.

Profile and upper school years 12 and 13

More than just A-levels: ready to take off.

In the Abitur classes, students can focus on specific subjects, develop their strengths, grow personally and prepare themselves optimally for their studies and career. This is how students become young doers, full of self-confidence and determination. Young personalities who can apply their knowledge and take on responsibility. With vision and a sense of community.

Role models of tomorrow.

Set the goal yourself.
And achieve it together.

An Abitur at the Landheim always combines in a special way the curriculum-based lessons in the performance subject with the scientific-propaedeutic work in the W-seminar and the creative and practical work in the profile workshop. Focused expertise, subject specialisation or a wide range of skills? Everyone finds the right path for themselves: Our students put together their own learning focus for years 12 and 13, entirely according to their individual strengths and interests. On the way to the Abitur, they are individually accompanied, personally advised and inspired by academic tutors.
