Ex-Kanzlerin Merkel und ihr Sicherheitsberater vor Hubschrauber

20.11.2025 | 19.15 Schondorf Encounters: Dr Erich Vad "What is certain is that nothing is certain. Notes on the international security situation."

About the lecture

We are not only in the midst of the much-discussed and much-cited "turning point" in security policy. Europe is in a state of geopolitical tension. There is a great danger that the Ukraine war will escalate into a European war between NATO Europe and Russia.

The lecture aims to answer pressing questions: What is at stake geopolitically and with regard to the Ukraine war? What are the strategic interests of the key players and where are the possible paths to peace?
