As part of the Entrepreneur lecture series, Dr Carmen Rohrbach, who holds a doctorate in biology, was a prisoner of war in East Germany, a world traveller and researcher in the most remote places, an entertaining storyteller and one of the most widely read travel writers of our time, gave us (and above all our students) so much more than just travel impressions.
Her message, embedded in her stories, is: accept personal destinies, recognise and develop talents, pursue your own goals - even in the face of adversity, persevere, face life positively, be open to the unpredictable and, above all, never give up!
