Julia Trapp and Alexander Trapp from Landheim Ammersee achieved a great 2nd place in the 58th national final of Jugend forscht on 21 May in Bremen, presenting their project in the field of chemistry: "Bio-Power: the development of a biochemical redox flow battery".

The second hurdle has also been successfully overcome: After winning the regional competition "Voralpenland" on 1 March and the state competition in Vilsbiburg on Wednesday, 29 March, the 58th national competition of Jugend forscht is now coming up in Bremen. From 18 to 21 May 2023, the best young researchers in Germany - including 15-year-old Julia Trapp and 18-year-old Alexander Nun - will present their project and compete for the prestigious national Jugend forscht victory. Their victories at regional and state level so far are all the more remarkable because Bavaria, with 1,285 applicants, is in second place (behind NRW) in a comparison of the federal states.
